With the Dwarf Orinoco, you get all the same versatile qualities of the Orinoco Banana in a much smaller size (6-10 feet at maturity). Dwarf varieties are great for your landscaping and are also great candidates for container growing. This young plant ranges from 2.5 to 6 inches and ships in a 3-inch-deep pot to keep your shipping costs at a minimum and to allow it to grow to maturity under your green thumb.

Average mature height: 6-10 feet
Fertilizer: N/P/K (Nitrogen/Phosphorus/Potassium) in a 3/1/6 ratio
Light: Full to part sun
Soil: Rich, well-drained
Zones: 7b-11
Potting: Use peat or potting soil and start in a 1-gallon pot (7-8 inches). When ready, move to a 5 or 7-gallon pot (12-14 inches) and then to a 15 or even 25-gallon container (18-24 inches).
